Rearranged and recycled objects from previous installations shown at the Horsebridge Open Exhibition titled The Space Within. Each object is a plaster cast of an exact object speaking of volume and the ensemble also speaks of space within a perimeter. My title was Washing up.

Slow Stich exhibition
Since April last year I have been experimenting with cloth and stich. I have also been repairing and bringing to life some of my old favourite knitted jumpers and my grandfather's old coat. These are becomming diarys of different epochs of my life as well as becomming new rewearable articles of clothing.
In February there is a group show 'Slow Stich'. This is the piece that I have submitted.
In February there is a group show 'Slow Stich'. This is the piece that I have submitted.
In this piece I made a journey through time; thirty years of life in small house in rural France. The fabrics all came from within this space and some of them reflect specific times and encounters.
The colours come from JN”s earthenware clay and from a bunch of last year’s lavender grown locally that I left in a vase. As I stitched this piece in situ I relived and reflected on memories. Many secrets are hidden within this ensemble of fabrics and stiches.
